As I continue my journey as an elopement photographer I think it’s important to share with you my why. So here is my story about why I became an elopement photographer.
When Piero and I got engaged, we were immediately swarmed by people telling us what we “had to do” for our wedding day. From type of music, type of meals, who to invite, and the list goes on. I felt an immense amount of pressure through the process and just longed for someone to be like, “Steph, what do YOU want?” It seemed like a no-brainer but apparently not everybody thought so.
So we said *screw it* to the big traditional wedding idea, that ultimately didn’t feel authentic to us. We decided to have a meaningful day the way we wanted and eloped, with just our closest family members present. It was the best decision we could have made to start this new chapter!

This is what pushed me to do what I do. I want to be that voice for my couples, supporting whatever unconventional wedding dreams they may have in mind!
If you’re engaged, I encourage you to follow your heart and get married in a way that is true to you and your soon to be spouse! So if that’s a big ol’ 300+ guest wedding so be it. But if it’s not, know that it is more than ok and you don’t owe anyone explanations. It is YOUR wedding day, and you and your boo should get to celebrate however you want.
I gotchu friend! Remember, this is your story, you get to decide how it’s told.
If you’re planning your big day and need a wedding pro and photography whiz wrapped into one, let’s talk! I offer a variety of services to help you thoughtfully capture your celebration.
